As Senior Vice President for RBN Partners’ San Francisco Bay Area team, Steve brings more than three decades of commercial real estate expertise to serving retail clients throughout Northern California. He specializes in investment sales, leasing, and enhancement strategies. Mark has a long history of success with his clients, having completed over $137 million in sale and acquisition transactions and over 460 lease transactions in his career.

Steve is highly focused and relentless in his effort to find the best solution for his clients. His deep retail market expertise has been acquired through successfully working with some of the nation’s leading retailers, including Mervyn’s, Montgomery Wards, The Gap and Target. He takes ownership of his client’s challenges and takes a highly focused approach to managing each transaction from start to finish, consistently exceeding client expectations.
Prior to joining SRS, Steve Thomas was a Senior Vice President at Retail Real Estate Group. He also held positions in the retail division of Grubb & Ellis and with Arthur Andersen/Senn Delaney Retail Management Consulting Group.

• Acquired an off-market Burlingame bay front multi-restaurant property with a later assemblage of an adjacent hotel property for private investor in 2009.
• Co-brokered 605,000 square-foot regional shopping center after helping reposition it into a mixed-use project in Oakland CA.
• Listing broker for Bay Area retail portfolio, adding value through releasing, and then realizing that value through sale of multiple properties for a private investment family.
